Welcome to July!
This month I have been playing with some very cool stencils and a new line of chippies called “Midis” from Scrap FX.
The stencils are awesome and come in a variety of sizes to suit everyones needs!
You have already seen this Layout that I used this Random dots stencil on from a sketch challenge last month!
There are a ton of other designs in this size and others even smaller for ease of use. I used this whirl pools stencil on a page for the Around the world sketch:
So that is enough revision lets get onto the latest creations and my most favourite stencil of them all: The peacock feather!!
This is a “must have” and I admit I adore it and have used it here in my art journal using some pearl texture paste:
Isn't it just glorious???? Here is the full page.
Then we come to my favourite for texture in a hexagonal design:
I have used it here to create texture on another art journal page, love experimenting with all the new products this way!
I could go on and on about the new stencils, they are just awesome to use.
I find them a little thicker than most so this allows you to add more texture to your projects…. so check all the new designs yourself
here on the website.
But wait there is more!
I have been playing around with the new Graffiti alphabet and new words called Midis.
These are smaller than most of the wordlets but not as small as the theme pack words, hence their name “Midis”!
You could use them in any way you see fit , as part of a longer title or even adding them to the journalling on your page, and as for those in the grip of Project Life?
Well they are perfect!!
I have used one here as part of my title as well as a cute new
chevron stencil:
I really love how this one turned out, even happier with the way the watch pieces I discovered in a junk sale worked with the spinners!!!
So that is about all for now off to play some more!!
Happy days!
