Work for Scrap FX.

Hi All,
I was just about to write up a new post when I realised I forgot to show you a few bits and pieces from last month that I created for Scrap FX.
Soooo I guess I had better do a catch up post!
First is a LO I did using that awesome Blooming Feather Scrap FX released last month!

livebeautwm
I have used Black as the background once again, just love how dramatic it makes the page!

I have also used the Fireworks Stencil with Glitter paste in the background, I love the combination of pattern in this stencil.

I cut the Butterfly Circle Frame chippy and saved the butterflies for later, I just love the frame part as it did not fight for attention with the feather, it just WORKED!

The feather was painted then I used a stamp roughly for a random impression then added embossing powder for a little dimension.

After the splashing colour around then adding some scrap layers the page was "full on" but done!
So that is it, I have a fair bit of catching up to do so stay tuned!!

A Romantic Month at Scrap FX

A big Hello to everyone!
A new month of Scrap FX goodies have arrived and here is what I have been playing with so far!

Damask Stencil
Damask Stencil

I have already done a project with the Damask stencil in the previous post in my LO for Sassy Scrappers, but I have also tested out the Marrakech stencil!

I combined it with the chicken wire heart and this  peacock I adore!

Peacock and tail feathers

I have to say the peacock was just divine to play with! I used a combination of embossing powders from Lindys Stamp Gang and mica pigment paint.

The title is a wordlet that I have also treated with embossing powders and Lindys Stamp Gang Spray!

The photo is of my Little Bro and his wife, I love this set of photos!

And here is the full page:
The quote is a stamp from Kaiser that just seemed "right" for the page!

Also had a play with the Diamond flourish stamp, deciding on a more subtle image made with the watercolour paint I used on the background. It was super easy, I just dropped the stamp (of course it was on purpose!!!!) on to the puddles I had made on the background before it was dry. Then just stamped away on different parts of the page..... it worked a treat.....a happy accident!
I just loved how it turned out!!

I tried my hand at lettering with a brush, the trick is ..... hold your breath and just do it quickly!!

And here is the page:

Oh Happy Day is a new stamp set that can be used as a stencil ( using the backing) or a stamp.....genius!

So that is it for now, thanks so much for stopping by lovelies!

Sassy Scrappers March Mood Board

I have been inspired!!! Saw this mood board over at Sassy Scrappers and just had to do something with it.
Just so divine and such an awesome Colour scheme!
I wanted to do something a little girly (in my own way). Girly does not flow easily for me so believe me when I say this was a challenge! I am not a flower kinda gal, in fact I do not have much in my stash, maybe that is why I don't use 'em?? Anyway I created this for the sketch and had to compensate for a lack of Flower raw material!!

The photo is of one of my nieces which was taken a while ago.

I used a new damask stencil from ScrapFX (such a beautifully detailed stencil) with some texture paste on the background then got a little messy with the Lindys stamp Gang Sprays and Mica powders.

Those intricate words and Damask corners are chippies by Scrap Fx treated with a bit of embossing powder and ink.
The quote is another awesome stamp by Kaiser, just love It!!
The papers are a mix of old and new from my stash, just wanted to get the colours right.

With the lack of "flowers" situation, I had to be a little inventive and had to cut them out. This paper is MME but an ancient line that I fell in love with many moons ago!

So there you go, a Girly page at last! Cannot say it was an easy ride but I had to challenge myself and the job is done!
Thanks for popping back to take a peak!
Stay Happy everyone,
