Lindy's Stamp Gang August Challenge.

Yay! I had some time this month to play around with the Lindy's Stamp Gang Colour Challenge! I did not have all the official colours but I think the ones I used are near enough to the set. So here is the colour inspiration and here is where you can find the details:

Here is my page featuring my niece:

The colours I used from my extensive Lindy's Collection Are:

Here are a few details:

That awesome butterfly is a stamp by Stampin'Up!
I have stamped the image on some old book paper.

The teeny hearts are chipboard cuties from Scrap FX as are the Alphabet used in the title and the flourish.

I used foam stamps (also from ScrapFX) to create the background.

Well that's about it from me for now, thanks for dropping by!

More Scrap FX Love!

Ok this is another share of Scrap FX goodies. This is my favourite for this month! I used a fabulous jigsaw heart and one of the new wordlets as a title:

Jigsaw Heart largeA beautiful moment

This chippie comes in 2 sizes and all the inside jigsaw pieces come out to make a frame, or you can leave them in for an interesting patterned heart. I have used the large one on this page:

The photo was taken during the summer as we celebrated my Dads birthday at a beautiful winery. I could not have planned the photo any better, they all coordinated beautifully in blue without my input!!

I traced a rough outside heart with the ink from the bottles of Lindys that I planned to use to colour the heart.

After painting the heart chippie with Gesso, I sprayed with the spray colours, then after drying used a Tim Holtz Stamp and embossing powder to add the texture.
You can see it better here:

After embossing the Title, the rest was pretty simple, throw a few sequins at it and some embossed  chippy circles that I picked up form somewhere.... I tend to keep everything!

Just a few more details for you:

So that is about it from me for this post,
hope you all have a wonderful week ahead,

More Hearts!

Back again, sharing what I have been playing with from
Scrap FX:

100% LoveableLots of Love

These chippies are fab!! And they combine so well with this awesome foam stamp:

Heart Spangles stamp

The hearts in the chippie are a similar shape to the stamp, so of course I had to use them together in this layout featuring my furbaby, Shyloh!

I applied metallic paint in Gold and Bronze to a roughly gessoed background, but the photo does not really show it terribly well, so you will have to use your imagination!

I used the stamp with Stampendous embossing powder over the top of the paint to make the hearts pop.

I also embossed the chipboard teeny hearts and Wordlet to tie it all together. I just love the Titles that ScrapFX come up with, they are all so different and help out when you are stuck for ideas!

I used a few scrap pieces of patterned paper under the photo and dragged out an old punch I had forgotten all about, don't you love finding things deep down in your stash that are just perfect!

So that is the story of the page, oh and the doily is a new Prima die, very girly for me really but I just had to have it!!
So a few more detail shots for you:

And there you have it, I am done till next time, yes I still have more to catch up on so stay tuned!
