Projects for Scrap FX.

Hi Everyone I am back finally!! This blog is so sadly neglected of late but I am trying my best in the next week or so to play catch up....so get ready everyone!!!
So first up some projects I created for Scrap FX using loads of new goodies.
Ok here we go, I shall start with a simple wedding card.
I have used the Scrap FX "Love banner" chippie as the main focus. It was absolutely perfect for the theme and super quick to put together!

The background was made using water colours in a few varying shades and the chippy piece was just painted black, add a few dots of perfect pearls and the job was done!

Next, a scrapbook layout featuring my niece, it is very pink and girlie!!!
I used the Fancy Feathers (small) as well as the fabulous Spirit Phrase.

This was  made with a quick painted and stamped background, layers of scrap paper and the chippies were heat embossed.
Then we have 2 art journal pages:

Learning to Fly
I so loved the Learning to Fly Silhouette, it reminded me of a quote in the children's book "Peter Pan", so I just had to get creative in my journal straight away!

Last project is using the flying birds stencil with some Colour Blast Colour paste.

And that is all from me for the moment, I will not leave it so long for the next post, I have so much to share!

"Looking Fabulous", My First LO for Colour Blast.

Hello and Happy New Year to all!
I have been a little quiet of late as I have been in Relax mode at the beach. Every year I switch off and enjoy going "Off Grid", so to speak, for the month of January. I use this time to recharge my batteries and get ready for the creative year ahead. So.... I am now back and trying to catch up on things, it is so hard to get back into the groove after the break, my mind is ready to explode with ideas!
The first share for 2016 is my very first project that I have created as a Design Team Member for another Aussie Company, "Colour Blast". I was lucky enough to get my hands dirty using their wonderful products, I can tell you now they are a heap of fun!
The details of this LO can be found on the Colour Blast Blog.

So without further ado here is my first project, a scrapbook page featuring my 2 boys looking smashing all dressed to impress for their cousins' wedding early in 2015:

I used the  Colour Blast Embossing Powders as well as the coordinating Shimmer Sprays on my  Scrap FX chippies  to get a metallic "grunged-up" look, they worked a treat!

So how did I do it I hear you ask?
Too easy!
I shall explain:
First the background piece (which is left over alphabet "backing"..... yes I keep everything...you just never know!).
I  gave it a spray randomly with a couple of Shimmer Spray colours:
"Singing the Blues", "Dusty Charcoal" and "Steel".
These sprays gave the raw chipboard a touch of colour and a hint of shimmer, I wanted more texture, so I then embossed sections of the panel with embossing powders in "Steel", "Dusty Charcoal" and "Snow White".
The Snow White gave a glittery effect.

On the Wings I did pretty much the same process, except instead of spraying I used a brush to colour the details. I just wanted the wing tips embossed, so I used an embossing pen and the
"Steel"  Embossing Powder to achieve the look!
Take a closer peek:

So what is left? The chipboard words of course!

These are just embossed in the usual manner in the "Steel" colour then I sprayed the "Dusty Charcoal" and "Singing The Blues" Simmer Spray on top to create a bit of colour variation.

Lastly the Title:
I embossed with "Steel" and "Snow White" to get a sparkle happening. Then sprayed with "Singing The Blues" to get a tinge of blue to coordinate with the background.
Here is a list of the Colour Blast products I have used:

March Goodies from Scrap FX.

Hi All!
Time to let you in on what I have been playing with this month from Scrap FX!
First a favourite item revisited....chicken wire..... but wait it is a brand new size....well 2 actually, small and medium to compliment the large panel Scrap FX already have.
Chicken Wire, small
The small version is so cute at 7 x 11 cm

Chicken Wire, mediuim
The medium is a handy size too at 7 x 14. 5cm
I used the smaller version here on a pen holder for my messy Teen!

I combined a few old favourites on this one and Lindy's Stamp gang and Dylusions sprays. Yes I got very messy!
Here is the other side:

The background of this piece was made with texture paste and another new product, number border Stencils in both large and small.
Number Border stencil, large
The large measures 24 x 6cm
Number Border stencil, small
The small is 24 x 3cm
I used the too cute smaller version.

I used the larger number border stencil here as the background for this layout:

I also made good use of the medium chicken wire, just loved it and went such a long way when cut and stood up to lots of product as I changed my mind numerous times till I was satisfied!

Revisited my cog stash for the rest of the embellishments, always great for a masculine page!

I used a great wordlet I have been bonding with that goes soooooo well with the arrows.

While I am on the numbers theme there's more...... a number collage foam stamp that I used on this page that I made for the Lindy's Stamp Gang February Colour Challenge. Here is another look at the page:

And here is the Stamp:

Numbers Stamp
Just divine!
I have used it to create the background and used a little old favourite chippy, the heart collage and some cute words:
I randomly pressed the stamp around the page.

There is also a large stencil:
Numbers Collage stencil
It measures an awesome 28 x 28cm big enough to fill a whole page or mask it off to use just a bit!
I am yet to get this baby dirty but that is just a matter of time before that happens!!!
I cannot wait to see what the other gals get up to with these products Scrap FX never fails to excite!!
Thanks for visiting!
