Live Fully...Art Journal Page for Scrapping Clearly.

Hey All!
I am back with another art Journal page, created with loads of goodies from the Scrapping Clearly store.
So without further ado here it is:

"Live Fully"

This is an Art Journal page done in my 8x8 Dylusions Journal. On a "Gessoed" page I used Scribble Sticks to create the circle in various colours from blue/greens to yellow/pink, I then added loads of water to activate the colour and move it around for a smooth blend. I added a little shimmer with Nuvo Mica Mists in Fresh Pear and Nebula Blue.

Once dry, I added the stamped face (on Tissue paper) to the circle with Gel Medium, then used The Crafters Workshop Stencil "Rose Bouquet" and Dina Wakley Acrylic Paint in Fuchsia and Magenta to create some flowers around the face.

Once this was all dry I added details with paint pens, a Stabilo Pencil and more scribble sticks (particularly to the face). I still felt it needed something more so I went a little crazy with the Inkadinkado Cling stamps: "Ferns" to add some foliage to the flowers.

I then stamped the Title with my trusty Alpha stamps from years gone by and I called the page done!

Items used:
Inkadinkado Cling stamps "Ferns"
Gesso
Alpha Stamps
Black Archival stamp pad
Gold, White & Black Paint Pen
Stabilo Pencil

And that is all from me this Friday.....hope I have inspired and you all find a little time in your day this weekend to play!
Till next week!
Michelle.

"May we be Strong..." art Journal page for Scrapping Clearly

Hello Everyone,
I am back with a quick and easy Art Journal page in my 6x6 Dina Wakley Art Journal.
Creating in this journal is so quick and the pages take a whole lot of punishment!
So without further ramblings here it is:

"May We Be Strong...."

I always Gesso my pages if I am using acrylic paint or inks and this is no exception, I threw a bit of paint around on this one but wanted it soft and subtle. I used Jane Davenport's paint colours in "I Love You Pink"  and "Minty Fresh" with a little Dina Wakley paint in "Sky". The stencil I used was by Carabelle Studio "Petals", though you can barely see it in the background.

I stamped the girl form Jane Davenport's stamp set "Poppy Girl" 3 times on tissue paper and added all three to the page once the background was dry using Gel Mat Medium so that the tissue disappears into the background.

Once the girls were dry it was just a matter of adding a little colour and details with more acrylic paint.
Add random stamping with an old typewriter print stamp from my stash,
then shadows with a Stabilo All Pencil and water.
At the last minute I thought it was missing something so added more stamp details using an Inkadinkado Stamp "Branches" and splashed around some Gold Marabu Art Spray.
Once I found a title from an old Dina Wakley Stamp set I was done!

Items Used:
Acrylic paint: "Sky"

And that is it from me, hoping I inspired you to get creating this weekend!
Until next time stay Creative!

"Fractured...." Art Journal Page for Scrapping Clearly.

A Big Hello to Everyone and welcome to my very first project for Scrapping Clearly!
I hope I can inspire some creativity today with an Art Journal Page.

Truth be told, I have a lot of Journals on the go, but this one is currently my fave.... a 19x25 journal by Art By Marlene. I just love how you can take out the pages to work on so you no longer have to worry about spoiling the pages before or after....yes I am messy!

So here it is:

"FRACTURED"

I used lots of acrylic paint, all found in store, stencils a plenty and of course stamps.
There are loads of layers and it did go through many ugly stages, before I had to stop.

I started by stamping the faces on tissue and getting them on the page with Gel Medium.
Once dry, I stamped randomly with a Carabelle Studio Stamp called Mixed Media Strips. I then started throwing the paint around using, predominantly, Dina Wakley's acrylics in Black, Turquiose, and Ancient. For the touches of red I used  Art Anthology Velvet Dimensional Medium in "Desire".

I applied the Ancient coloured paint through a 6x6 stencil by The Crafters Workshop called "Infinite Lace". I then added some more stamping and made some marks with white and black and Turquoise Posca Pens. I also added more scribbly details to the faces just for fun.

Lastly I created a title using an old alpha stamp set and I called it done!

Items used:
Dina Wakley Acrylic Paint: Turquoise, Black and Ancient.

I hope I was able to inspire you all today, see you next time,
Cheers!
