Scrap Friends Sketch Challenge

Hi all,
Just getting a quick challenge in before the end of the month. Loved the sketch over at Scrapfriends right from the beginning of the month and just did not get round to doing it till now.
Here is the Sketch:

Here is my take:

Better late than never I guess, it has been a bit of a rush job but I don't mind how it turned out!

The feathers are the new foam stamps from Scrap FX, I used this page as a road test for them and they are awesome!!!! So easy to use and come up perfectly for the look I wanted here.

Used the old favourite chevron stencil from Scrap FX and an arrow pack I had in my stash. I coloured the stencil using water colours then outlined it roughly with a fineliner. The Title is one of the new Midi words from Scrap FX (what would I do without them?).

The feathers are stamped with a stamp pad (using 2 colours) then I outlined them and added some details. Foam stamps are not as detailed as your rubber ones, but I love how you can make each image an original with just a few strokes of a pen!

The deadline to leave comments for prizes is 11:59pm EST, Monday, August 19th.

Winners will be announced on Ruby Rock-it and Scrap FX blogs on Tuesday, August 20th!

If you get lost along the way, you will be able to find a complete list of participating blogs each day here at the end of this post, and at  Scrap FX and over at Ruby-Rock-it (we really want to make sure you get along to everyone!!!)

Now on to the fun I had!
I love the new chippies from Scrap FX this month they are beautiful and "flowy" if you get my drift, I combined them with my papers from the Reminisce Line I received from Ruby Rock-It:

I created lots of texture with gesso and the stickers that came with the papers.

I embossed the chipboard with a mixture of powders to create the look I wanted.

Here is a closer look at the texture created with the hexagon stencil from Scrap FX, Gesso and border stickers.

I used mists to add colour to the page to match the pink hues of the paper:

For my second LO I tried to create a more Masculine Look:

I used water colour crayons to draw the heart shape as a background.

Once again used the border stickers and papers in strips to create layers.
Embossed the chippy fern corner and alphas with a mix of embossing powders to try and compliment the photo.

So there you have it that is all from me you now head of to  Linda Kretz a Ruby Rock-It gal!
Have fun and if you loose your way here are the lists for both days:
Here's the Day One list:
Here's the blog hop list for Today:
Michelle Logan (you are here)
Now do not forget to leave a comment here then over at the company Blogs to be in the running for the awesome prizes!
Happy Hopping!
