Lindy's Stamp Gang July Challenge

Back to share another page created with this inspiring board from Lindy's:

I have used 3 colours from the spray set:

So here is my page:

I tried to get a masculine "teen" feel to this LO and tried to be a little more minimal (yes I know that did not work too well! LOL).

The photo was taken of my boys on a recent trip to Port Douglas. The fellas were a little excited to get out onto the reef (Great Barrier Reef) and could not be nice in front of a camera!!

Could you tell I had no idea where this was going?
I just grabbed whatever was on hand and went with it.
Lots of stamping and splat making resulted and added a few doodly bits and I was done!
So on to my next LO which will be one just for the fun of it!
Hugs to You all!

A page for the June/July 7 dots challenge.

Hi Everyone,
I am back already with a page I created for the June/July challenge over at 7 Dots Studio, yep I am on a roll!
I absolutely love 7 Dots paper Lines, they are a little hard to find where I am so when I find them I have a tendency to hoard and bond for a while before I use them!!!
This month they are offering all their new paper collections as the Challenge Prize so I knew I had to at least give it a shot!
Here is the Inspirational Circle:

The theme of the challenge is "Time Flies...."!
So without further ado here is my take:

I have used the "Destination Unknown" line of Papers, tags and a few stickers also.
My big 'fella features once again in all his glory, dressed to impress for his Senior Formal.

I have a bit of a wing fetish at the moment, it adds a bit of drama to a page.
All the chipboard is Scrap FX as well as the stencils used to create the embossed wings and grungy bits of the background.

The colours in the background are all courtesy of Lindys Stamp Gang Sprays and the embossing enamel is by Stampendous.

The Steampunk Chipboard is actually a frame that I cut to create a winged layer each side of the photo.

I printed the quote and mounted the words on scrap chipboard and darkened the edges to make them "pop"!

I used the Playground Alpha with more of the Stampendous embossing powder to create the Title and emphasise the theme of the Challenge.

The 7 Dots Tags I have used as a layer behind the framed photo, these are so awesome! They go so well as a layer or as a stand alone embellishment.

Last shots I promise!
I am trying to let you see the dimension I have tried to create with the layers!

 And my job is done!
Have a shot at the Challenge for your chance to get your hands on the new, fabulous, paper lines!!!
Ok, carry on with your day I have taken up enough of your time!
Hugs to all!

Another FX Page for July.

Back again with a quickie share of another page created using more new releases by Scrap FX.
I have used new stamps to form the background and of course lots of chippies.
So without further ado here is the page featuring my boys with their American cousins.

I used a brilliance stamp pad with the Linage Stamp to get the background colour, then the embossed stamping was done with the  Lines and Circles stamp.

The Circuitry Panel and Circuitry Bits work awesome together, and all I did was paint them with Gesso then used the same stamp as the background for colour.

The frame is also a newbie and comes in 2 sizes (I used the larger one). I used the same embossing enamel on it as the Lines and Circles stamping.

A few layers and some thread and the page was done!
Thanks so much for dropping by everyone, till next time,
have fun!

Good Grief it's July Already?

Wow what is going on with this year flying by??
It just amazes me .... the older I get the quicker time goes!
So I finally got my pages done for Scrap FX for this month, I got my hands on all these lovelies (new releases) and had to bond with them for a bit before I could decide on which idea to act on.
I was so inspired by these I had too many ideas!
So the upshot of that is I have a few projects to come because every piece in this release I adored!!!!
So with out further words of admiration here is my first design:

A page featuring my eldest who is growing up way too fast....he will be driving later on in the year....Arghhh!
I created the background using loads of paint over a scrap paper layer.

The Number Panel and Chevron Feathers foam stamps are just fabulous to add randomly to the background.

The chipboard Chevron pieces work great together, I cut them a little to go a little further. I had a play with those Gilding flakes once again, I have had a bit of practice with them now and do not get them up my nose any more, much more skilled with them now! LOL

Check out the Words of Wisdom Stencil!!!! I have used Light Molding Paste and a little embossing enamel to make it shine in that background and it is quickly becoming a new fave!

A new wordlet completes the Title, just love it!

I stamped the sentiment on the photo with Stazon Ink, it worked well with the Matt paper I printed the photo on.

Really enjoyed making this one, love doing backgrounds lately. I just never know what they will turn out like till the end. I think I covered all the white space on this one so I guess I could have done with more so that it does not look so busy, but I was just having way too much fun!!
So thats about it for now, will be back very soon with more! If you want to check out the new releases by Scrap FX do drop by their web site.
Bye All,
