Sassy Scrappers March Mood Board

I have been inspired!!! Saw this mood board over at Sassy Scrappers and just had to do something with it.
Just so divine and such an awesome Colour scheme!
I wanted to do something a little girly (in my own way). Girly does not flow easily for me so believe me when I say this was a challenge! I am not a flower kinda gal, in fact I do not have much in my stash, maybe that is why I don't use 'em?? Anyway I created this for the sketch and had to compensate for a lack of Flower raw material!!

The photo is of one of my nieces which was taken a while ago.

I used a new damask stencil from ScrapFX (such a beautifully detailed stencil) with some texture paste on the background then got a little messy with the Lindys stamp Gang Sprays and Mica powders.

Those intricate words and Damask corners are chippies by Scrap Fx treated with a bit of embossing powder and ink.
The quote is another awesome stamp by Kaiser, just love It!!
The papers are a mix of old and new from my stash, just wanted to get the colours right.

With the lack of "flowers" situation, I had to be a little inventive and had to cut them out. This paper is MME but an ancient line that I fell in love with many moons ago!

So there you go, a Girly page at last! Cannot say it was an easy ride but I had to challenge myself and the job is done!
Thanks for popping back to take a peak!
Stay Happy everyone,

Scrap 365 Sketch Challenge.

Hi Everyone I have just finished my take on the sketch challenge for March at Scrap 365.
Here is the ultra layered sketch:

Very cool! Now I have deviated a little (those who know me know I seldom stick to a sketch) but I have layered up the photo and added the title to the bottom rather than the top. I hope everyone can still see that I did start out with the sketch in mind!!
The LO is of the big fellas' this summer down at the beach house. It is becoming a tradition to have a full house of teenage boys over the summer break and new years.
Apart from  feeding the "hoards" it is a heap of fun for everyone!

I found my chosen title, from Scrap FX, was way too heavy to place at the top of the page, so had to switch that around from the get go.

Played with a lot of colour on the background using my Lindys Sprays, Stamps and the chipboard piece as a stencil.

I have used paper from the Persimmon line by Basic Grey, it is my favourite ATM, I do not know what I will do when it all goes... but I am making an attempt not to hoard....so use it I will!!
Here is the full page with those boys in all the finery!!

Just a few more close ups for you and I am done I promise!

I just loved this chipboard piece, I even found a stamp that suited it perfectly, it all just came together easily. It is amazing what you find in your stash when you look past the top of that pile!!

The quote stamp is from Kaiser, just perfect!
And that brings me to the end of my show and tell.
Hope everyone has a brilliant week and will be back shortly with a girly page (oh I know....gasp! LOL)

March Goodies from Scrap FX.

Hi All!
Time to let you in on what I have been playing with this month from Scrap FX!
First a favourite item revisited....chicken wire..... but wait it is a brand new size....well 2 actually, small and medium to compliment the large panel Scrap FX already have.
Chicken Wire, small
The small version is so cute at 7 x 11 cm

Chicken Wire, mediuim
The medium is a handy size too at 7 x 14. 5cm
I used the smaller version here on a pen holder for my messy Teen!

I combined a few old favourites on this one and Lindy's Stamp gang and Dylusions sprays. Yes I got very messy!
Here is the other side:

The background of this piece was made with texture paste and another new product, number border Stencils in both large and small.
Number Border stencil, large
The large measures 24 x 6cm
Number Border stencil, small
The small is 24 x 3cm
I used the too cute smaller version.

I used the larger number border stencil here as the background for this layout:

I also made good use of the medium chicken wire, just loved it and went such a long way when cut and stood up to lots of product as I changed my mind numerous times till I was satisfied!

Revisited my cog stash for the rest of the embellishments, always great for a masculine page!

I used a great wordlet I have been bonding with that goes soooooo well with the arrows.

While I am on the numbers theme there's more...... a number collage foam stamp that I used on this page that I made for the Lindy's Stamp Gang February Colour Challenge. Here is another look at the page:

And here is the Stamp:

Numbers Stamp
Just divine!
I have used it to create the background and used a little old favourite chippy, the heart collage and some cute words:
I randomly pressed the stamp around the page.

There is also a large stencil:
Numbers Collage stencil
It measures an awesome 28 x 28cm big enough to fill a whole page or mask it off to use just a bit!
I am yet to get this baby dirty but that is just a matter of time before that happens!!!
I cannot wait to see what the other gals get up to with these products Scrap FX never fails to excite!!
Thanks for visiting!
