Hi everyone, back with a quick share,
2 art journal gals using some fabulous Scrap FX Stencils.
First spread is my fave, the page just came together so easily and I love how she turned out:
Here is the stencil called "Flapper Girl"
Isn't she just divine?
So here is the page I was happy with:

First spread is my fave, the page just came together so easily and I love how she turned out:
Here is the stencil called "Flapper Girl"
Isn't she just divine?
So here is the page I was happy with:
I applied black paint through the stencil, over a painted background to get the girl image on the page. Then added some scribbly details with a paint pen and pencil.
I used a stamp to add the grungy circles on her head as if she was pensive and deep in thought, (well that was my train of thought anyway).
In the background I also used another new stencil:
The "Art Deco Stencil", you can just see it as a shadowy image if you look carefully at my layers!
The next page I was not overly happy with. The stencil turned out ok but my composition is just a little.... well ....off! But that is what an art journal is for experiment and play!
So here is the stencil:
The "Vogue Girl Stencil"
She really is gorgeous, I have not done her justice here and will be having another shot to redeem my self at a later date!
Here is the page that is just a little off!
This time I really just used a pencil through the stencil on a scrappy background in my journal and added the scratchy details after.
I added stamps and tried to add colour and texture with paint and water colour.
I added some highlights with white paint pen then called it quits, I was done!
Lastly another page having another play with that Art Deco Stencil, it really is awesome for creating backgrounds!
I used lots of scraps that happened to be lying on my desk at the time and tried to make something interesting out of it. This was the result:
So that is all from me for now, stay tuned for more FX shares!
