Hi Everyone, this little creative corner is feeling a little neglected of late due to...well my laziness! Blogging just doesn't float my boat unfortunately and takes time away from getting messy, so I do apologise for not posting more regularly.
So lets get on with what I have been up to.
It has been one busy month with DT and Masters commitments, but I did manage to create a page for the Retro challenge at Kraft Plus. Here is the challenge, the colours are really different and I am trying to break out of my favourite colour scheme (Teal, Green & Aqua) so I was determined to give it a shot! Here is the recipe challenge, I hope I have met all the requirements!
Here is what I came up with:
In the background I had some fun with the new Scrap FX stencil, Circular Shawl. Just love it!
Made some polka dots with a Scrap FX background stamp, got the cotton in there and the touch of washi and silver. Yep think I covered all the ingredients!
The chippies are all Scrap FX and the Unique plaque thingy is a speech bubble with the little speech point cut off.
I used Stampendous embossing enamel Aged Silver with is a blend of silver, gold and black particles, when it melts it is just delish!
If you look a little closer I have used the enamel on my background combined with the Damask Flourish stamp.
The tags are a little old by Donna Downey and the teeny Scrap FX chipboard clip is so cute, had to use it and it was just sitting on my desk ready to go!
The butterflies are a Tim Holtz stamp set and the colours are Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays.
I have fallen in love with the Prima Doilie Die and have used it here with some glitter paper left over from a Masters Challenge.
So that is all from me I would say, see you next time!
This looks fantastic! What an amazing background!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Lizzy, you are always so supportive much appreciated!
DeleteOh, what a shame you don't like blogging. I'm a blog-a-holic, I think. In fact, I know. But I like writing . Probably more than creating! I even wrote a book once....never published, of course, and have a pile half finished ones......so I guess these days I blog instead of 'serious' writing!! ANYWAYS...you didn't need to know all that!!! So, thank you for joining us at K+....you MORE than met the requirements...you totally ROCKED them....so glad you got outta your comfort zone....love the results and most of all that embossing powder.......WHOA. Me want!!!! Love it all:):)
ReplyDeleteOh Lizzy I do not mind blogging that much really, it is just the time involved as I am a terrible typist! I am sooooo slow my mind thinks faster than my 2 fingers (yes 2!) and I end up rambling a little (as if you hadn't noticed!)! Thanks for always popping and giving me much appreciated feedback! Love all you say MWAHH and hugs to you!
