Happy New Year!

So I guess everyone is wondering..... where the *** ***** are you?
Well the answer is, I have been relaxing on the beach and I now feel renewed and ready to create up a storm!
Before I do,
I thought I would start the year by showing you all the projects I did for my Scrapbooking Memories Magazine Masters entry.
Then by the time I finish the show and tell, I hopefully will get my hands messy with some new stuff!

So without further ado here we go:
The first Project, required a large 5 x 7in photo.
This challenge took me back, I used to scrap this larger photo all the time in the early days.
I really enjoyed getting back to making that photo the hero large and loud!
So here it is:
My Eldest in all his splendour, ready for his senior formal
(has not got the luscious locks any more, all got cut off when his Nan told him his hair looked nice and fluffy! He now looks 12 years old!).

After creating a rough grungy background using Gesso with gold and navy Lindys Stamp Gang sprays, I used loads of layers in neutral tones. Used up a lot of my scrappy paper bits and pieces.

Once I laid down all the paper pieces, I splashed around a little more inky sprays with a stencil and a Stampin' up roller stamp (to create that checkerboard pattern).

The Title is a Scrap FX chippie that I cut to make it 3 pieces, with a heart beat border (also from  Scrap FX) in between.

I treated the chippies with Stampendous Embossing Powder in Aged Gold, just love how it comes up!

Used that same powder on the heart embellishment also, just used an old embossing pen I had in the stash, did not work perfectly (I am telling you it was REALLY old!!!) but I kind of liked the little bit of imperfection!

So that is all from me for no. Next up is Project 2, where we had to make a page using non traditional scrapbooking products. I loved doing that one, I raided the garage and found a new cheap go to product called joint compound! So stay tuned, do not forget to come back next week!
Bye All!
